“Lakers coach Jackson fined for criticizing officials

NEW YORK, May 26, 2009 — Los Angeles Lakers head coach Phil Jackson has been fined $25,000 for publicly criticizing game officials, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations. The Lakers were also fined $25,000 for their coach’s comments.
Jackson and the Lakers have been fined for his comments made after Game 4 of the Lakers’ series with the Denver Nuggets.”

This is a joke… The officiating this whole post season have been a joke in how bad they have been. I’m not happy about this news even though its peanuts for Jackson and the Lakers, but it’s not a good move by the NBA commission. Fine dirty unsportsmanlike players and ban them from the NBA, and fire all those so called refs.
