I did this from my ftp. i edited the index in what came up in a small black box, then asked me to overwrite it and then when i went to my website not only are the ads still there, but there was just a black page with the code. so i deleted that in my index to try to get it back to normal and now there is just a simple black page. how do i get back to my website when i type in the address and how do i still remove the godaddy ads?

how do i log into my FTP?  and where is the index.php? 

It is important to login in FTP account for changes in GoDaddy account. This is good information for banner in free domain hosting service.
