dude great video!!! dude I have the 3GS 3.1.3 brand new today. tried what you said but nothing it just goes back to normal after reboot. Does my virsion not work with this?
I tried several times and nothing!! I had the 3G did it perfect but im having a hard time with this one please can you help me!!!???

@aakbar3022 Hey there, I’ve never encountered the problem before. I would recommended doing a restore in iTunes and trying the whole process again. Something may have gone wrong during the install and by doing a fresh one you will be able to determine that.

@dre6072 It sure does, it works with any iPhone with 3.2.1 firmware installed on it. You can check that information in your iPhones general settings or in iTunes.

I could see the blackra1n icon on my iphone but when I click on it, it says ” Please check your internet connection”, however the internet is connected and the browser seems to be working fine. Thank you for such a nice simple presentation to jailbreak. I had to do it a couple of times before I was successful to jailbreak my new iphone 3gs. I got the blackra1n icon on my iphone as shown in your video, but when I click on it, it says “Please check your internet connection”, therefore I’m unable to download any freebies even after jailbreak. @TreyRust Right on Trey, I’ve never came across an easier method for a quick jailbreak. I don’t know how people live without it…

@jvmadria yes, you can jailbreak even if you’re on contract. In fact, that’s pretty much the whole idea. This way you will have way more functions than a standard iPhone 3GS.

However, if you are asking me this because you are trying to switch services the answer is still yes. You could jailbreak and start using your phone with verizon or t-mobile but you would still be paying for ATT if you don’t cancel that service.
