im trying yo downgrade my firmware to 3.1.2 and its saying the ipod XXX could not be updated because the firmware is incompatible.and its doing that with whatever version im trying to downgrade it to

@nerfair01 If you are asking how to figure out if your device is MC you go to:
Settings, General, About, then look at Model if it says MC then it’s MC. MD it’s MD.

with this jailbreak if the ipod turns off or the battery runs out will i have to use a computer to turn it on again?

@MAJ9243 you have to download to desktop then go to itunes and to your ipod’s page. Hold the left shift button then click restore at the same time. a window will pop up the u find the file u saved to your desktop. Then it shoul be a peice of cake!

Anybody know of a way to jailbreak a 3rd Generation iPod Touch with official Apple 3.1.3 firmware on it? Had to restore my iPod because it kept freezing, but then I had no other option then to update to 3.1.3 (it’s done automatically) and blackrain won’t run on 3.1.3 so now I’m screwed If anybody knows a way to jailbreak a 3rd Generation iPod Touch with official Apple 3.1.3 software PLEASE let me know!
