Can I use IP phones on my internal network without VOIP service?

Filed in Technology 1 comments

I need a pbx style phone system in my business but I dont have the funds for a traditional system. I have a wired/wireless ethernet system already installed throughout my business and was wondering if there was a way to use IP phones through the network internally without an outside VOIP service provider?

yes…! but an IP phone does nothing unless your are using BOYD…or have a provider!

I use several VoIP and free SIP service and providers….!

you can use magicjack to start….you can use a regular phone with it!

most ( almost all) VoIP provider are not free, but many SIP service are almost free or very little charge…..unless you need calling in/out…

you need your computer always on for SIP service, but with a paid VoIP it goes thru your modem, not the computer….!

    the cheapest iPBX I know is this: P8 49.99 a month I get over 40 countries for free….including Europe…

    MagicJack.com a one time 39.99 free and 19.99 per year the 2nd year around….!

I also use skype calling in/out for the rest of the world…I use wifi-max/fixed….its only 16 dollars a month with clearwire.com…
