There isa a website that the USGS has on line that will give you accurate up to date quake data. I live in Louisiana and found that they had a quake in Paincourtville La there are fault lines all over the world and you are correct quake can happen any where any time. It is exactly why every one should never leave home withot water and a small survival kit you can assemble one that weighs less than 2 lbs. If you live in earthquake country get your camping gear ready. I suggest hammocks they are the most comfortable have a scram bag ready try to store water in crates JIC they are tossed a bit.
