    good video!

@Pseagraves It’s already inside. In-fact, you probably will never have to touch it. The iPad isn’t SIM locked btw, so you can switch to another GSM carrier (in the US that would only be T-Mobile). But, they don’t sell micro-SIIMs so you’d have to cut a mini sim to size (I’m uploading a video about this right now).

@iPhoneAppChecker Thanks! I’m really pleased by all the positive feedback for this video, glad I took my time to get it right.

@DetroitBORG jailbreak makes apple products more useful. You dont need to install unstable software.. there gonna be tons of stable packages for the iPad when its gonna be more popural. Now its wise to jailbreak the ipad and safe SHSH hashes. You can restore it after that but its good to have SHSH files backed up.

this i really the BEST ipad unboxing! ;)

    which camera are you using?

  • iPhoneAppChecker

@LadyGagaMonsterClub i also sold my WiFi to buy the 3g! :D

@TheJasperkitty Thank You! I have to admit to being a jailbreaker for testing purposes, but jailbreaking introduces tons of instabilities which ends up making the iproduct less useful.

  • TheJasperkitty

Yeppers, Jailbreaking is the need to look like a savy “hacker” type. Like you, I just enjoy using it and eschew the “jailbreak” mentality. Your video was great and good quality. Thanks for sharing your 3G unboxing.

@DetroitBORG yeah it sucked not having an ipad for a week because I fell in love with it

  • Pseagraves

Hey is the sim card already inside the iPad or do you have to go get one from AT&T?

  • Adistar92

with the method of cutting sim into microsim to use phone data plans..
    Ive got an idea:

Has ANYONE tried using the sim from a monthly or pay as you go mobile broadband dongle, cutting THAT down to size and working? they are better priced with better allowance and if it works that would be the best method (UK wise anyway) £15 for 5GB with 3

@frogdog1579 I can’t really recommend it, I don’t do it so I don’t know what the pros and cons are beyond what I’ve read. It’s easy to do and it’s easy to restore if you need to. And AT&T and Apple aren’t going to find out unless you take it to them.

  • frogdog1579

@DetroitBORG would you recommend jailbreaking it? just for apps and stuff? but if you dont bring your ipad or phone they wouldnt know right?

  • DetroitBORG

    @guitarhero0013 Glad to help!

  • guitarhero0013

@DetroitBORG ok so basically it is internet. thanks. again, ive never understood this lol.

  • DetroitBORG

@guitarhero0013 3G isn’t Wi-Fi, but it it is a wireless network like Wi-Fi. It’s deployed by telecoms like AT&T and Verizon which covers nearly every part of the country. So wherever you go, you will have internet access via the telecoms using 3G or the step down “Edge” network.
