Due to the recent controversy over the USPS Inspector General report on DVD-by-mail envelopes I wanted to take a close look at the design behind Netflix & Blockbuster’s envelopes.

  • Princess124

  • utahjazz07

    carefully

  • CelebFanatic91

put it back in the envelope it came in then send it back

  • epinky2295

ya….. 14 bucks for 2 dvd’s out at a time to copy and keep forever (the copy duh!!!) is a GREAT deal

  • bilsrylos

    put them in a mailbox

  • terk0iz

Mail sorters care because Netflix envelops are a pain in the ass to sort. That’s the point of this video.

  • DJBRISK1

How do you send netflix movies back?

  • hostilityy

    FUCK YOUR ENVELOPE.

  • darkalligator

yeah, even when they start sending the movies late, it is very cheap. I have the 3 disc at a time and with the money i spend in a movie at a cinema i can get a lot.

  • JoeNostalgiaReturns

Yeah after that, it was just unacceptable.
I cancelled and moved to Netflix.
    FAR BETTER.
They come much faster and their selection seems wider…
My queue on Blockbuster was like 87 movies…
On Netflix I have 487… plus I get instant streaming!

Who cares about the size of the envelope?? Netflix is THE BEST video rental service out there by FAR!

  • callmetw

Blockbuster now officially sucks!! In the past they have raised the price of this service without any notice. Now they count your in store exchange as part of your queue. Meaning, If you exchange the movie that they mailed to you in the store, You will not receive the next movie from your online queue until you return that movie to the store. Now there is NO reason to even subscribe to this service since you have to make double the number of trips to the store. Final straw for me. Cancelled!!

I don’t really care about the envelopes, all I care about is that I get my DVDs in a timely manner and they are playable. Netflix is the best out there from my experience.

    Netflix Is The Best

  • Yankeesx06

Netflix usually ship the movies right away, and Blockbuster take 2-3 days to ship movies.

  • arni0202

blockbuster doesn’t compare to Netflix. I only had them because I could exchange them immediately but now you’re limited to 5 a month lol. unless you want unlimited exchanges for $35! Netflix customer service is great too. Call and you talk to a real person in about 15 seconds. I’ve had 1 cracked blu ray disc out of about 20+

  • fluidambient

I think Netflix needs to shorten the length of the envelope from the area where Netflix’s address is to the stamp area. The envelope only needs to be slightly larger than the size of the dvd that it holds so why is the envelope so big? Doesn’t make sense.

  • XxToMsGiRL182xX

Blockbuster online you can go inside the store and trade for a movie right away or mail it.

  • limpnjen

Blockbuster’s envelopes may win but their overall service doesn’t, I guess it’s good to have at least one positive on your side though.

  • joecrumb1

If you love Blu-Ray you’ll hate Netflix. Their enveolpes don’t protect the easily cracked BD disc(Check Mars Box website).
Is Netflix trying to solve problem? not according to customer service.

  • ClippersChica

I hate Blockbuste and their bad service so I would never sign up for their online service either. I have Netflix and I love them despite their envelopes.

  • wizardfan0

well i dont care about a mail sorting machine b/c i dont work at a post office…but if you subscribe to both… you must be ripping the hell out of dvds…(i personally subscribe to netflix)

  • 4321Blastoff

You subscibe to both? Wow, that’s livin’. I has a Blockbuster trial when they were starting and they had super minimal choices of rental compared to Netflix.
