@MediaHoax , I understand that it pulses microwaves up into the atmosphere at very low frequencies (short bursts of high energy microwaves). Each pulse lifts a portition of the ionosphere (like poking your finger out from the inside of a baloon, if you will).. when the pulse stops it causes the ionosphere to almost instaneously revert back into its original shape. I might be wrong, but it would explain is how you could create very low frequency waves bouncing off the ionosphere.
