    summerboard mode
    selrct themes

    thats all

  • http://randomcritic.com Gus

    4. Open winterboard
    5. check it off the supreme preference tab and respring (select “Select Themes”, and then make sure it is unclicked?)
    6. Then go to settings (which setting, the home page?)
    7. click supreme preferences tab and go to applications, than go to phone (when i go into Settings, I don't see “Supreme Preferences”)
    8. Cellular data tab: On – did this
    9. Click home, than settings
    10. General, network, and it should be their. – it won't let me enter anything. It just has an on and off switch, but it won't let you add in the APN.

If you upgraded to iOS 4, jailbreak it with Pwnagetool 4.01 (must have Mac for PwnageTool). There might be other tools to jailbreak it, but I use PwnageTool 4.01 for the 3gs. Disable 3G, Cellular Data, and Data Roaming. Then open Cydia and install ultrasn0w. Press the Home Button and reboot the iPhone. When you get back to the home screen, open settings->general->network-> and you should be able to see Cellular Data with on/off button and below it Cellular Data Network. If you don't see it, go to Cydia and see if you have Legacy install or some other T-Mobile PostPaid/Flexpaid install. If you do, remove it and press the Home Button and reboot the iPhone. Then when you restart the iPhone, you should be able to see “Cellular Data Network” and be able to type the APN for Cellular Data, MMS, and Tethering.

    The settings I used:

    Cellular Data
    APN: internet2.voicestream.com
    Leave username and password blank.

    MMS
    APN: wap.voicestream.com
    Leave username and password blank
    MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
    MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
Leave MMS Max and MMS UA Blank

To use the internet without using Wi-Fi, make sure the Cellular Data Button under settings is “on,” and must subscribe to an internet plan from T-Mobile.

Also, go to settings->messages and make sure the MMS Messaging button is “on.”

    Hope this works.

  • iPhone Hacker

I can't select the “Cellular Data Network”. The only thing I can select is either on or off. I cannot type in the APN.

  • HopTsar

I just successfully did this. Judging from what you are saying, you have Supreme Preferences in Select Themes of Winterboard OFF. Click it ON to make sure it has a Check Mark next to it. Then ReSpring. Go to Settings when done and Supreme Preferences should be there just under the Notifications. Select Supreme Preferences -> Applications -> Phone. Turn On Cellular Data Editing and you should be good.

To Setup MMS on the new Iphone os 3.0

    dial *123*12#

This will activate mms on your account and send you a sms that says :
    “Can’t auto setup MMS.
call 173 for help or setup
    manually…”

Then go to Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network
    Enter the following settings:

    INTERNET
    ————-
    APN: internet
    username: mtn
    password: mtn

    MMS

    APN: myMTN
    username: mtnmms
    password: mtnmms
    MMSC: http://mms.mtn.co.za/mms/wapenc
    MMS Proxy: 196.11.240.241:8080
    MMS Max Message Size: 99999
    MMS UA Prof URL:

    Exit Settings.

Switch off iphone and switch on again.

When your iphone restarts it will have MMS enabled, you
can go to settings > messages to verify that it
is enabled. you can also enable the subject line field, so that you
can add subjects to MMS messages.

To test, open a new message and tap the camera button that now appears at the bottom left of the screen. Take a photo and send to to your self

    Iphone MMS on MTN
I followed these intrsctions, but still no luck.

Is it possible that MTN are blocking mms from iPhones?

Swirly = 3rd party app allowing you to receive a MMS…

You have to pay for it though..

    Also need a jailbroken phone.

Swirly is what we used before OS 3. It is an awesome MMS app, you can actually send 3gp files with the latest version, a thing that you cannot do with the iphone 3g mms app, only on 3gs (but I am pretty sure that is also only software locked and will be hacked pretty soon

Nope, works 100% on my non-jailbroken OS 3.0 iPhone 3G, check your settings again and make sure you received that activation SMS from MTN.

You don’t need the username, password or Max message size. all those can be left blank.

Don’t know why this is happening, I tested it this evening and from my phone I mms’d to two vodacom phones (not iphones though) with my iphone, and both of them received the mms.

Think you better go and shout at MTN
