@FlashGeekGraphics Whoops! Thanks for pointing that out… I guess I went too far out of my “circle of expertise”! Hopefully that slight error won’t get anybody lost!

  • FlashGeekGraphics

GPS = Global Positioning System, not Satellite as you wrongly point out ;)
still, nice video and very helpful, thankyou so much!

  • psFAN4LIFE

@UseMyDroid ok thanks as i was not sure, i was only taking a guess :) Also thanks for the power widget video, i am new to android “about 40days old” & i overlooked/missed this.

  • UseMyDroid

@psFAN4LIFE Just checked with Tech Support: On the HTC Incredible, it is slightly different than Moto Droid in regards to GPS symbols displayed in the top bar on your phone (status bar) – here’s the scoop:
On the Incredible, you always have a target symbol for GPS, if it has no sound waves, then GPS is “off”, if it shows sound waves, then it is on/active.
For the Moto Droid, the GPS can be “on” but not showing in the status bar, when an app needs the GPS working, then the dish & sound waves show

if i don’t see the radar in the notification bar, isn’t it off anyways? doesn’t it only start when i start the app like, google navigator? then shut itself off when i shut off app (google nav) the radar is gone from the notification bar. Not trying to be funny but just asking. (i have htc incredible)

@DeanDino2359 ahahahahahah i still remember those films like school of rock

  • KingdomVideosOnline

Thanks for the tips… I like wide when I need to read the text onscreen, but tall works as well since the text is usually easy enough to read.

Can you make some vids on Music Apps?

  • UseMyDroid

@DeanDino2359 Thanks for the kudos… do you prefer Tall or Wide videos?

  • DeanDino2359

good video although i can see you’ve been influenced by the 70′s school films

  • theyleftusallbehind

    awesome!

@stampingwithprincess Yes I plan on covering the Advanced Task Killer in a trianing video, but first I will make the 2nd in this series “How to Install the Power Control Widget”.

Glad you liked this one… Subscribe and you’ll get each one as I make ‘em.

  • stampingwithprincess

Awesome. Looking forward to saving my battery life. It’ a bit annoying to have to charge it so often. Can you create a video on the Advanced Task Killer?

  • VideoLeadsOnline

Nice job… I didn’t know about all the options that
were on there and I always wondered how the phone knew my location when GPS was off! Makes sense now though — good video.

  • slashudson1987

    good shit!

  • KingdomVideosOnline

Nice Job… Good follow up to your other video on the power control widget… now I feel like I can use it to extend my battery life on my dorid phone.
    Thanks
P.S. I like Wide, but Tall “looks” more natural.

  • UseMyDroid

@DeanDino2359 Thanks for the kudos… Was pong popular 40 years ago? If these clean crisp easy to follow videos mean they are styled from 40 years ago, then I guess that’s cool with me.

  • DeanDino2359

good video although i can see you’ve been influenced by the 70′s school films

Ummm…what is the point of this?
