does it work on droid incredible

first off ur link beings me to a page with a bunch of random crap on it and nothing with a txt tuturial, second is this going to work if i have ultimate droid 2.1 rom on my phone casue i tried it and when i type in the command it says cannot open for write read-only file system..?

I did it the way you said and now i have no more boot screen no droid eye nothing help please
