Well the problem could be that you’re using an Mp3 player
I have never tried to install it on an mp3 player !!!

@Shrety hi: thanx for the reply but I’ve reached to second step 3 and i got stuck cuz after replacing the first H to K (my usb letter) it says its not recognized!!! errm is that a problem or have I missed something? please reply back I’m so close and could you also do a video tutorial for USB blondes like me PLEEEASSSE!! loool thanxx!!! could it also be that I’m not using a USB stick but a 8gb mp3 player could that affect it?

Yes you can install it on a USB stick see the following instructions
1- Download the cd image from the link in the video description
2- extract the files on the cd image into the USb stick
3- go to command line and type H:syslinux.exe -ma H:
3- replace the H in the previous command with your USB Drive letter
4- if it did not give you any errors that means you have installed it succesfully
5- change the boot sequence from ur bios to boot from the USB stick

You might be resetting the password of a different account than the one you want to reset, check into that

You must have missed a step or something
Follow these steps and let me know if you’re still can’t get it to work
1 – Choose (Edit user data and passwords)
2 – All user names will appear on a list
3 – Make sure you typed the username correctly
4 – Choose ( clear blank user password )
After that the system should give you this messege ( Password cleared ! )
Then you hit CTRL ALT DEL to reboot

@Spam205 @Spam205 i got it now, well if you used the tool correctly it should reset the password and u would be able to log in to the system, but thats regardless of the infection of the system with a trojan, i wish i had a dad that can provide free laptops to me lol

@Shrety I don’t have any passwords at all. The guest account is closed, and the Administrator is passworded. I know no way to get into the system. That’s why I got the program in the first place. The program didn’t clear the passwords or anything, I just get the warning message instead of the logon screen. It’s probably not worth saving at this point. The laptop was free from my dad’s workplace because no one knew passwords, so no big loss there. I’ll see if he can pick up another laptop.

@Spam205 i am not sure but it looks like your system is infected with a Trojan, if you can log in to the system now, try to scan your computer with a good anti virus .

I got the same program from a different site (pogostick. com or something similar) and I think it either A) pretty much raped my computer’s entire system or B) gave me a virus. Before the login screen, it says lsass.exe is not working or something. I couldn’t have gotten it from the internet because we can’t acess any of the account information or logon. I have XP; any help?

There is also a registry editor and other registry utilities that works under linux/unix.
