ok so i have ciydia and i installed ultrasnow and al it is saying is “searching”

  • ideemac

You don’t need a simcard to jailbreak, you just need wifi connection then once you jailbreak and unlock you can use any sim

  • TheJeremeyKostis

Do you use the same simcard to unlock as you did to jailbrake ?

  • ideemac

yea you can, just don’t click the update button. And if itunes prompts you to update just click no. You can sync as you would normally with a locked phone.

  • tib10boi

thanks for the quick reply. Really u can go back from unlocked to locked just by uninstalling. i was so confused, because no one ever seems to mention that.

one more question, once i have the phone unlocked Could i still sync my iphone to my computer(without upgrading obviously) and still have my iphone working?

  • ideemac

Even if you unlocked your iPhone, your ATT sim will still work the same way it did. If you want to lock your phone just simply uninstall ultrasn0w or purplesn0w.

Note: 3.0.1 can only be unlocked with ultrasn0w.

  • Greenwinkle

Thanks mate great vid, now i can have what I want as a ring tone !!!

  • PhilWilliamz

@kriskeri when you right click first select create acc version then right click again to do all of those other steps he said. ;)

  • meltdown155

    dope video

  • kriskeri

@M1te5h oh, my itunes already says aac but when i drop the song to the desktop it doesnt have m4a, so when i change it to m4r it doesnt ask me if i want to change it

  • M1te5h

garageband does effect quality but it not a major reduction is sound quality, its sounds good, ok for ringtones,

buy holding down the control button and clicking on the track you wish to make into a ringtone, you can see the convert to AAC option, i sure it wasn’t there, before i updated last week?

  • M1te5h

    @kriskeri

i’ve updated itunes and you now seem to be able to convert to AAC files, within itunes, so there no need to send to another programme..

but the “wasting a disc method” is basically creating a playlist that you want to burn, for example the track you want as ringtones, if your itunes burning setting are set to WAV files, which the format the CD player read, etc and then reimport the track once burned, which then be able to work with the track as the video directs you through the sets

  • kriskeri

@M1te5h could you please explain the waste disc thing to me, ive made ring tones before but i cant on my new itunes! i suck at computers please help me :)

  • kriskeri

can someone please tell me which ‘kind’ it works on…and why my computer isnt asking me if i want to change the format when i change it to m4r??? thanks!!

  • ZakkMcKracken

    @dholi07 If you’re using Window…

Start | Control Panel | Folder options
    Select “View Tab”
Check “show hidden files and folders”
Uncheck “hide file extensions for known file types”
    Click “OK”

    Hope that helps!

  • Fuzworth

To everyone complaining, slow down, pay attention, and follow directions… this technique works great.

  • sofreshsofly22

can i ask how u get the create ringtone… option when u right click it cuz it does not show up on my itunes

  • heyyrhythm

THANKS SOOOO MUCH!!! the quality will go bad if i edited it with garage band, so THANKS!!!!

  • MrMattGreg

it works with songs downloaded from itunes

  • zfunk

    So simple!… NOT!

  • M1te5h

BUT I’ve messed about for a hour and found 2 solutions MAN!
1- Waste disc and burn editing tracks to CD and import using right AAC settings.
2- GarageBand will do the work for you, simple; edit the chosen track in iTunes or you can in GarageBand, then under the “Share” tab select send to iTunes which converts it to ACC for you in .m4a form, then just drag and drop track to desktop change extension to .m4r delete the ones you don’t want first and import the one you want and it be under ringtones!

  • M1te5h

New Version Blocks AAC Convert / Import Attempts (this key step) because the renaming stage wont have a effect!

  • dholi07

when i drag the song to the desktop it doens’t show the format of the song

  • cocomiish

this was amazing thank you so much!

  • ObiWanBillKenobi

For iTunes 9.X, there doesn’t appear to be a “convert to AAC” option. This can be sidestepped using the free program Audacity by Sourceforge. Load original song in Audacity, crop to the times you want, then use File/Export As and save as M4A/AAC. (Or, alternately, you can set the start-stop times in iTunes, convert to mp3, then load that mp3 in Audacity and Export As, but you can crop much more precisely in Audacity.) Rename as M4R. Follow all other steps as in this video and it will work. :D

  • Mruglytomatoes

    I LOVE YOU THANK YOU

  • lalakersfan6

    thats amazing!
    thanks so much!!

  • TyM310

instead of finding an ACC version of a song, right click the song and click “create AAC version” but only do that after editing the time of the song! :)
please thumbs up this comment so everyone will see

  • WhatAboutSmith

well it worked for me with a song which i downloaded of the itunes store…

  • moodyblue77

what if when i click on Create AAC its in grey type and i cant click on it?
