Neofonie is reportedly readying its potential iPad rival, the WeTab, for a July release. Reports suggest a price tag of around 449 euros, which is just under £390 in real money (or, at least, until the imminent collapse of the euro).
Originally called the WePad, the German manufacturer has either changed its mind on the name, or more likely decided that a legal battle with Apple wouldn’t be the greatest thing in the world.
WePad or WeTab, it looks like a fairly decent competitor in what’s shaping up to be a very interesting marketplace – check out the Android based prototype tablets we revealed earlier this week.
