This is a step by step tutorial on how to update and jailbreak/unlock your iPhone on 3.0.1 firmware. The firmware is almost the same as 3.0 cept for fixing up the sms vulnerability. There fore I will be using the same method as for the 3.0 jailbreak using redsn0w 0.8. You will first need to download these 2 files.
