This is a step by step tutorial on how to update and jailbreak/unlock your iphone on 3.0.1 firmware. The firmware is almost the same as 3.0 cept for fixing up the sms vulnerability. There fore I will be using the same method as for the 3.0 jailbreak using redsn0w 0.8. You will first need to download these 2 files. USE FIREFOX TO DOWNLOAD: Download 3.0 NOT 3.0.1 and upload into redsn0w. 3.0 Firmware IPSW here: Choose your iphone 2G,3G,3GS www.felixbruns.de If they ask for password its: bluroom Redsn0w for Mac: thebigboss.org Redsn0w for PC: thebigboss.org To unlock add “repo666.ultrasn0w.com” to sources in cydia. ultrasn0w is spelled with a 0 (zero) STUCK at waiting for reboot?
